Hodder Tugboat Expands Operations with Acquisition of Seaspan Forestry Marine Assets
Hodder Tugboat Co. Ltd. (Hodder) has entered into an agreement with Seaspan Marine to acquire its chip and hog fuel barging operations, along with related forestry industry marine transportation assets, subject to closing conditions.
This acquisition strengthens Hodder’s core forestry operations while also positioning the Company for continued growth and diversification across coastal marine transportation services and positions the Company to support evolving market opportunities across the West Coast.
The transaction includes the transfer of workforce, existing services, and associated assets such as coastal and river tugs, barges, and supporting maintenance facilities. In addition, Hodder will assume the use of certain tie-up locations leased from the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority in connection with these operations.
